Untitled

Putting on my Valentines dress,
and looking myself in the mirror,
makes you think i'd never thought i'd be here,
and time just flies by way to fast.
Remembering a small memo of each grade..
all those grades felt like forever,
but now I realize they went by way to fast,
and makes me think i don't wanna be here right now.
Feels like everyone and the world is moving in fast motion while im standing here going in slo-mo.
Where'd the time go?

HAPPY VETERANS DAY!

I had amazing day at school today, it was veterans day and we had a huge assembly talking about it. We met some veterans there and we all said thank you. People got very emotional. After today, i do care a lot more then i did before. Some of my teachers talked about how their friends got "pulled" people away into going into the Vietnam war. And some of their best friends came back never acting the same again. It was sad to hear that some people didn't have a choice onto going. I can't imagine me being pulled away from everybody i love to go off in a cold, dramatic place with a rifle in my hands. I know I'd want to leave and get out of there soon as possible. But then again, to have a brighter future and to have this country free I'd do it too, just to have my kids not have to be in my same position. Before, i never really understood all of this, until today. I'm very thankful to be living in this country, this is where i want to be. Happy veterans day everyone!

Not Just Some "friend"...more.

Most people, would write about their family, a pet, anything important to them perhaps. Even a friend. But Cassidi, shes my Best friend. Shes more than a friend actually, were pretty much sisters...cousins...wifeyy...you name it. Weve been best friends since the beginning of second grade. Were by each others side ever since then. Shes my cheese to my macaroni, cant live without her. Shes backed me up on everything, been with me through everything. Weve pretty much gone through i all. I adore her, admire, idolize, revere, dote on, cherish. So many words can be using to show my appreciation to her. Cassi has always been with me, i actually can't remember a time we haven't been together.
Some things, your just born to know. Its like a state of mind, you just know it! That's my knowing, Cassi. Shes always been there and i know she always will be. It feels like she was born with me by my side and wouldn't leave...ever.
I remember us always worrying about going to Junior high and seeing if we'll grow apart. Not even close. Were like peanut butter and jelly. Its not "Brittany" or "Cassidi". Everyone knows us as "Brittany and Cassidi".
We go to school together everyday, and come home together. Each time i see someone and Cassi's not beside me. Everyone's always thinking something is wrong, "wheres Cassi?".
We never get tired of each other no matter what. We had other friends come and go but were ancient to people, and I'm thankful for that. I'm so glad i met her and so glad i have her. Shes one of the best things that have happened to me.
We both plan to stay together, maybe even buy a house right next to each other in the country with a big o' lake, with a hot tub... and everything. We plan our future house out and everyday. Knowing we will never get sick of each other like most friends. Shes not just a friend to me, shes much more than that.

What a Diaster!

"Yes! Yes! finally were leaving!" ive been waiting to go hiking ever since my grandpa told me about it. Just me, my brothers, grandparents and the vanderwheels (neighbors). We were gonna drive all the way to New York to go hiking. Hours and hours away. We were all so excited. We got up around 5:30am, got all out hiking gear, and got in the car. Everything was set. I could tell this would be a wonderful experience. We started driving... and ALREADY 2 minutes into the 9 hour drive. My 15 year old brother already forgot something! So we went back. We all ended up falling asleep in the car since it was so early. We watched movies, listened to music, and talked and did everything we could to survive the long 9 hours. I was mostly awake the whole time listening to my ipod. Then, my grandpa said we were here! Marcy damn was the mountain. We had a total of 11 people to bundle all up. We took our gear and got bear proof food containers and headed up the mountain. I wasn't that excited after awhile when going up this mountain took forever. The whole way through we all kept saying, "are we there yet?". It really didn't help when my grandpa said, "not even half way". Its been an hour and were still not at our camping place .yet! My thighs would just burn like firewood! Finally, were here. It took 2 hours just to hike up.
Some people went all the way back down to the car with my grandpa to get the rest of the gear. Meanwhile, me and my brother Josh explored. The lake was just beautiful, along with the view. We all layed out our tents, ate food, and just tried to kill time until they came back.
Four hours later they did. What? Wears the gear? They didn't have anything in their hands!
"Pack it all up" Mr. Vanderwheel said. Everyone was stunned and all said "why" and "what".
They said once they got to the car the police asked them how many people, we had 11 and the maximum amount is 8.
This can not be happening!! We then thought about just moving into groups. It was 10:00pm and they said to move farther or leave. Were gonna leave and head to a different mountain since their being such an.....bossy head. We all bundled our gear... again, and headed down the mountain. It was so dark, we all had flashlights and got a little scared at the noises at night. Frogs.. proably. I was leading the group and wasn't sure where i was going. For a few times i thought i lost the trail! After awhile, few flashlights went out. We were all complaining like hungry birds "This trip cant get any worse!"... to our surprised it did. We heard many noises but this noise was something i haven't heard before, a bear.
It followed us the whole way through the hike. Since we had our gear and was dark, it took 3 hours instead of 2. We all haven't even eaten dinner yet! Mike, wanted pizza. Then everyone els was craving it. As soon as we got to the car the first pizza place we saw was "Mikes pizza". Weird!
After, we found a place to set our tents and slept. The next morning we ate breakfast and it started to rain!
SERIOUSLY!?! We all thought it would stop. We checked the news and the rain won't stop for another 3 days. WE ALL JUST GAVE UP!
Packed...put in car... you get the idea by now right? Hopped in the car and headed back to Pennsylvania. We all laughed at it though, and still do today. But, that trip was just a disaster.
